Vertical elevator system droved by permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) is a new type cordless elevator, people attach importance to it increasingly because its marked excellences ,such as super-efficient, saving energy, doing linear movement and simple structure, convenience control, no pollution and low yawp. Foreign scholars first conceived the idea of"Vertical lift system droved by linear synchronous motor"during 90s and in this period of time they commenced the basic and experimental research. This cordless elevator is widely used in the field of elevator for tall buildings and lift system . It faces fatal challenges on theory and technique if you want to make a horizontal running engine set up. Such challenges make this problem becomes foreland problem in field of linear motor study.This paper analyzes and researches following problems on PMLSM for vertical movement by combining three aspects ,such as theoretical analysis, computer simulation and lab experiment.First,in the paper the relative basic knowledge is introduced briefly first, then the reference frame and space vector transfer laws of the PMLSM is constructed , the mathematics model of PMLSM is built. Then the d-q synchronous coordination and the thrust equation of the PMLSM are deduced.Second,aiming at the character of vertical lift system and uniting the mathematic model under the d-q reference frame,thrust equation and mechanism-motorial equation,combining with double closed-loops for the current and the speed and the space vector PWM method, the simulation model of PMLSM for vertical movement based on SIMULINK is constructed. The simulation results show that system is feasible.Third,this paper introduces the working principle and parameters are calculated of each parted device which is made up of the rectifier circuit,filter circuits,inverter circuits ,voltage and current sampling circuit, position sampling circuit, power circuit, protecting circuit. the braking motors and safety protection system was studied due to the system for vertical system.Forth, Finally experiment opening loop and closed loop be done on the sample motor and the controller. The system has reached control goal and has stable performance by experimental verification.The system can accompany high performance variable frequency speed variation. In addition, the paper laid the foundations of high performance inverter.
