Vehicle had come into the thousands of families and changed human life greatly, with the development of society and automotive industry. However, there are many negative problems because of the increasing cars, such as traffic emission pollution and fuel consumption, etc. Now, energy conservation, emission abatement and environmental protection are the subject of automotive industry. It's the development trend that reducing fuel consumption and emission pollution, in the basis of auto dynamic.In this paper, the mathematical model of the automotive power transmission is set up firstly. The evaluating indicators of auto dynamic, fuel economy performance and comprehensive performance can be calculated with the model. Through the performance of computer simulative, we can find that the matching of engine and transmission influents the vehicle performance indirectly. The excellent engine can ensure adequate power output.Secondly, this paper put forward a new evaluating indicator of power transmission system matching. It includes not only the factor of auto dynamic and economy, but also the comprehensive performance. Using the indicator can not just the matching performance of power transmission system also can reflect the display level of dynamic and economy. A best matching scheme of engine and power train system can be closed from multiple choice systems.The matching performance of engine and power train system can be further improved through optimized designing the parameters of the power train. This paper established the power transmission optimized design mold, including the design variables, objective function and constraint conditions. It can provide good method and valid basis for vehicle design and performance improved through optimized design.Finally, this paper studied the auto dynamic, economy and comprehensive performance, and the matching and optimized designing of the power transmission system using a domestic car. The reliability and practicality of the evaluating indicator and optimized designing model are demonstrated through the example.
