The vehicle that is optimal for ride is not optimal for handing. Likewise, the powertrain that is optimal for power performance is not optimal for fuel economy performance. So making a decision between difference performances for vehicles is very important.The power and economy performances are very important aspects of vehicle performences. Optimal matching between engine and driveline will have good influence on them. Generally, in order to estimate the vehicle performances, a lot of road tests must be carried on. In this way, it is blindfold on the matching of the driveline parameters and schemes optimization. It is a waste of human resources, money and time. So it is necessary to forecast the performances by computer sumilation on the moment of vehicle design.The ability to simulate vehicle performances with a high precision calculation, enables development of vehicle products long before hardware is built. The paper was intended to provide a method of matching different schemes and balancing weights in different performances modes by Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). A kind of multi-objects and multi-layers evaluation index about driveline schemes was established. The feasibility is validated by carrying out the comprehensive evaluation on truck design. The present method is effective and practical for optimization matching of driveline.
