Firstly, this dissertation compares several drying methods which are used in transformers, with research and analysis the conclusion is achieved that kerosene vapor-phase drying have the superiority. The first mobile kerosene vapor-phase drying device is invented, which can be applied to the scene, then the key components of the device is presented, combined with its technical principles, the work processes is explained in detail. By the invention, not only the transformer drying technique in scene is improved, but also huge maintain fee is saved for electric system. Secondly, viewing on the dielectric physical science point, the dielectric progress of insulating materials is derived, the dielectric characteristics of transformer insulation is deduced. By laboratory tests and field tests, dielectric temperature characteristics of transformer are analyzed and proved deeply, the dielectric loss temperature conversion formulas in current rule are doubted, and the conclusion is presented that in the regular test temperature, the whole dielectric loss of modern transformer in good insulation condition does not change basically as the temperature varies. Finally, for the mobile kerosene vapor-phase drying device, the dielectric spectrum method is introduced, and a new type of insulation moisture on-line test system is established. The real-timely monitor for the drying process is achieved, and the drying end-point can be determined accurately. The advantages of both saving time and protecting insulation are significant.
