Study On Conformance Testing Method Of IEC61850 Messages

With the development of Smart Grid, IEC 61850, as the core of the future substation automation communication standards, its conformance testing of messages will be more and more important. Based on the comprehensive analysis of relevant paper of testing, the conformance testing of its messages has been studied deeply in this paper. By analyzing the standard architecture, the minimum test system was built via load simulator, communication simulator and analyzer. What's more, it designs the processes of testing by static performance check, dynamic consistency check and dynamic test as to requirement of IEC61850-10.Based on the request-response and subscribe-publish model, it designed different positive and negative test item for testing of service and management function. As to GOOSE, it mainly considers from the publisher, subscriber and management. At last, taking the IED which has the protection function as a DUT for example, it validates the feasibility of the methods. After verification, the method is reasonable and effective for the conformance testing of IEC61850 messages.
