In recent years, the amount of automobile increase rapidly, at the same time, energy consumption and traffic congestion became more and more serious. States rapidly introduced bus transportation priority policy; Bus transportation development that makes more and more people concern about their safety. Side impact occupies 30% of the total number of traffic accidents. Contrast to the head-on collision. The side impact of bus in the world has not come to the safety regulations and tests methods, so how select a deformation barrier and the form of collision become more important. So how to improve passiveness security and how to decrease casualty and traffic accidents in utmost is attracting wide attention. Through using different forms of side impact analysis the security in this article, conducted for the national development of relevant safety regulations and improved body structure has a certain practical significance.In this paper, using bus as the research object, Analysis of the recent status in domestic and foreign, and analysis the importance of body structure for the safety. According the CAD model of bus, establishing of the side impact finite element model. Using a different view for movement and deformation barrier to the side impact. At the same time also analysis the side impact for between bus and rigid column. The results show that invasion of relatively large when the 90-degree between deformation barrier and the bus were in collision. Although relatively small initial velocity, the side impact for between bus and rigid column invasion is much larger. Finally, improving the structure of bus, and analyzing on the improved structure of bus.
