With the development of economy, more and more people have owned motorcar. Today there are more traffic jam appearances in commercial district of large or medium cities. The passing capacity of the existing road is not enough, so"it's hard to park"become the bottleneck problem of restricting the development of cities'economy. As a result, it is necessary to develop the Parking Guidance and Information System (PGIS).The PGIS consists of the information collection subsystem, the message processing subsystem, the message transmission subsystem and the message distribution subsystem. The guidance screen is the most important part of the message distribution subsystem, and all kinds of the traffic information are displaying on it. In this way, many travelers have found the best way and the parking place information on their travel. So the utilization ratio of the park is raising and the distance of looking for parking place is shorten. To this current situation, this thesis did some research in the PGIS'characteristic, which based on guidance screen.Firstly, through the question investigation of the commercial district in Xu Jiahui, we have mastered a series of basic data and materials. After analyzing them, this thesis has raised the development program.Secondly, according to the characteristic of the domestic city traffic and the standards of standardizing, combining the analysis on investigation result, this thesis has raised the design and the furnish principle of the guidance screen of different levels.Finally, after studying the relevant documents and the analysis of investigation result, this thesis has confirmed the design plan of the guidance display screen of different levels from respects such as the color, characters, measurement and so on.
