| Comprehensive Passenger Transportation Hub is a site to realize effective conversion among different traffic modes, which is designed to make passengers transfer from one traffic modes to another smoothly. Studying on convergence of traffic modes transferring has far-reaching significance on promoting the level of regional passenger transport and the integral efficiency of urban passenger transport system, meeting the passenger's demand on fast, convenient, comfortable, and safe trips, and thus relieve the traffic congestion problems in our country's city.The paper firstly analyzed urban comprehensive passenger transportation hub systematically, and proposed two important aspects of the hub's mode-transferring convergence, temporal and spatial convergence. Secondly, the analysis of the hub's mode-transferring convergence was carried out from the above two aspects. From the aspect of spatial convergence, it mainly analyzed the hub's layout and spatial organization among different traffic modes. And then it considered the factors that affect mode transferring from the aspect of passenger's physical load based on the principle of "cording to people for cardinal"and condition of passenger's consuming energy. From the aspect of temporal convergence, it mainly analyzed the temporal accumulative relation between concentrating and evacuating of passenger flow in passenger transport hub and urban transport. Thus it took temporal convergence of mode transferring into account from two aspects of decreasing the passenger's waiting time and operation cost of traffic modes. So it can not only ensure that passengers are not going to loss too much time, but also that operating corporations won't loss their benefit. It enquired into the hub's temporal convergence from three modes of urban rail transit, bus, and taxi, proposed relevant models and analyzed the coordination between the passenger transport hub and operating time of urban transport. Thirdly it used the theory and method of system engineering to build evaluating indicator system of integrated transport hub based on analysis the factors which influenced the passenger's transferring between the hub and urban traffic modes. Finally, it took Xi'an rail station as an example, evaluated the convergence effect of traffic modes transferring by means of the established evaluating systems, which is based on the proposal analysis of passenger transport hub on its spatial structure and transferring convergence system. Additionally, it proposed some suggestions from the aspect of the hub's layout, and the convergence of various traffic modes in view of the existed problems.
