The stepping motor system is composed by the stepping motor and its drive control circuit .In recent years, with the power electronics technology, the microelectronic technology and the microprocessor technology developed fast, especially because of these three combined in application, the progress of the stepping motor drive control technology is promoted quickly, developing and perfecting continuously. The developing of the stepping motor drive control technology make the stepping motor system get application widely, also make the stepping motor can not be separated from its drive power. The reasonable design and improvement of the stepping motor need thorough understanding and in-depth analysis for the stepping motor run mechanism and design concrete structures. At the same time, the operation characteristic of the system is mainly decided by its drive circuit except the property of the motor. Thus, the study of drive technology is the same important as the study of the motor itself.Five-phase hybrid stepping motor, as one of the main products of stepping motor, has been applied widely in many fields, so research on its drive technology are always concerned. The driving system with buck type of raising frequency and raising voltage circuit as a high quality stepping motor driver system, is the direction of the development, but few research on it can be found in domestic and foreign. Five-phase hybrid stepping motor drive system with Buck type of raising frequency and raising voltage circuit is designed in this paper. Modelling and simulation of the steady characteristic of five-phase hybrid stepping motor system is established based on MATLAB, star-bipolar winding connection pattern and new pentagon winding connection pattern respectively.What this paper finished mainly work as follows: The design of hybrid step motor drive has been grasped, five-phase hybrid step motor with buck type of raising frequency and raising voltage circuit driving is designed and analyzed. Five-phase hybrid step motor drive system with raising frequency and rising voltage circuit driving is full described. The steady simulation modelling of five-phase hybrid stepping motor system is established in MATLAB. Based on the steady modelling of the system, the phase current of five-phase hybrid stepping motor is simulated and analyzed, the simulation result coincide with the theory analysis.
