Because of the pressure system in high-rise buildings,there is great prospects for energy conservation,the water supply system are more typical,and are far superior to general water supply system in technology scope and design depth.There are still lots of issues in this field has not been resolved. With the perfection of all kinds of equipment such as water supply, hot water system,drainage water,fire control,central heating and wiring,which lead to the increase of all kinds of pipes and the running fee will inerease. Facing of the growing global energy crisis,saving water and energy is becoming very necessary,under this condition it is necessary to look for the most economical optimal design,including selecting rational water supply manners,having optimal vertical subarea,pipe networks optimal design,to save investment and resource. However little investigative work has been done in these fields till this day. This paper just do research and discussion on the energy saving and optimal design of high-rise water supply system.In this paper,some investigation in high-rise building of general water supply system, fire hydrant system,automatic sprinkler system has been rasied,and some desired results has been got though analysis and calculation.The characteristics of domestic water supply system has been analyzed in this paper, the optimization research is based on reasonable choice of high-rise building's water supply system to explore the selection of supply modes for high-rise residential quarters. Especially,the investment and energy consumption of domestic water supply system for the roof water tank and variable velocity variable frequency pump are analyzed by real engineering instances,which obtains the relatively better water supply scheme suitable for high-rise residential quarters.For long time,the diameter of ringed piping used to been calculated according to tree-shaped piping in the fire hydrant system, then it resulted the bigger diameter and wasting of investment. This paper references the experience of city pipe network's optimal design and predecessors'research accomplishments,combines the characteristics of building pipe network and establish non-linear mathematical programming model which solved by matlab genetic algorithm and the MATLAB genetic toolbox,an optimal design is made of the annular water supply network,the pipe diameter can be gotten under the condition of least annual cost.The results indicate the optimal design can save construction investment and improve the design efficiency.In sprinkler system,according to the hydraulic calculation which is the most complex work,a practical method has been put forward on the basis of a soft named"EXCEL". The paper raises a proposal for these problems which are calculated to proof by practical example and also could save a lot of working time and improve the design efficiency.
