Masonry structure is a kind of ancient architecture structure and is widely used in buildings. But because of appearance earlier, many masonry structure buildings in the initial design only considered the gravity load without horizonal earthquake effect or were with poor seismic capacity, additionally of which the lengthening strength, shearing strength and bending strength are comparatively low owing to the brittleness of the masonry material. Therefore, with greater weight, in the event of strong earthquakes, serious damages often happened to masonry structure. So that the masonry structure's seismic reinforcement shows its high importance.Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic (CFRP) strengthen technology is a new structure strengthen method in recent years, because CFRP has benefits such as low mass, high intensity, corrosion-proof, wide application,even stress, no cause of stress concentration either no increase of the weight of component, therefore CFRP is an ideal strengthen material. CFRP has already been used in structural reinforcement field in recent years, especially in reinforce concrete structure. Relatively, CFRP strengthen technique is still at an early stage in application of masonry structure and has less relative researches and reports; there is no more mature theory as the guide currently. So, the researches and theoretical analysis on CFRP strengthen to the masonry structure are going to be further studied in-depth. Some groping study of in this paper, offerring the technique regulation.masonry structure strengthened by CFRP has been done theoretical foundation for generalizing it and establishing.This paper described the characteristics of masonry structures and strengthening of existing masonry structure method, described the performance of CFRP, carbon fiber reinforcement technology characteristics and research situation at home and abroad. Then the finite element analysis software ANSYS, CFRP brick wall finite element analysis to study the CFRP on seismic strengthening of brick masonry wall effect on the brick masonry wall reinforcement on the Deformation, ultimate strength, and carbon fiber mechanical properties of cloth a comprehensive analysis, were compared with different carbon fiber paste on the brick masonry wall reinforcement effect, discussed the impact of carbon fiber sheet reinforced brick masonry wall of the main factors, including the vertical normal stress, brick masonry walls of high aspect ratio and the width and number of layers carbon fiber, carbon fiber reinforcement gives the brick masonry wall shear strength formula. Finite element analysis showed that the surface of the brick masonry walls pasted with carbon fiber can increase the shear capacity of brick masonry walls, brick masonry walls to increase the integrity and improve the seismic performance of brick masonry walls. CFRP reinforced masonry structures in the field has broad prospects.In this paper, CFRP and the longitudinal and transverse beams, enclosed the way CFRP, carbon fiber reinforce plastic and the longitudinal and transverse beams, enclosed carbon fiber sheet on the wall of brick masonry shear capacity increase in the range of 30% to 40%. In this paper, formula and finite element analysis of the comparison, given the impact of CFRP shear coefficient ranges for future experimental research and engineering applications based on some calculations.
