As an emerging and promising interdisciplinary study, the geographical information system (GIS) has developed rapidly in the whole world and been widely applied in various fields. GIS has solved many important problems related with the spatial information in the real world and obtained huge economic efficiency and social efficiency.Depending on the result of analyses and demonstration of the operation requirements, the production status and the existing problems of the distribution network of Chunliang oil production plant in Shengli oil field, this thesis proposes the oilfield distribution network remote monitoring system based on GIS, which combined with the researches of visual programming technology, database technology, MCU hardware development technology and wireless data transmission technology. The task includes the monitoring center software program composition and the remote monitoring terminal hardware and software program design. This thesis presents the implementation methods of hardware and software completely.The remote monitoring terminal of the distribution network takes the power/energy integration chip CS5463 as the unit of measurement, the microcontroller C8051F020 as the unit of control, transformer groups and other essential peripheral circuit as the auxiliary to acquire the data of voltage, current, frequency, active power, reactive power, power factor, power and other electrical parameters of the three-phase distribution network. In order to realize the task that the data center can survey the distribution network's remote monitoring, the data acquired is uploaded to the data center through the GPRS network and Internet after being encapsulated by the GPRS DTU.In the monitoring center, software is designed in integrated and repeated program development methods based on MapX control object. Development platform of the monitoring center software is Visual Studio 2005 with the development language VB.NET. And SQL Server 2000 is used to carry on the geographical information database. To the difficulty of mass data demonstration, a method of real-time calculation matching pre-demonstration is purposed in this thesis, which can raise the response speed of the software and reduce the requirement to the computer hardware. Besides, this thesis puts forward the fault diagnosis program related to the features of the distribution fault which can judge the fault type and fault range rapidly. By using the monitoring center software, administrators can monitor the distribution network throughout the region visually, such as zooming in or out, shifting the map, adding, altering, deleting, censusing and querying the power distribution equipments and its attributes. Meanwhile, the GPRS wireless network has achieved the information interaction between the monitoring center and the remote monitoring terminal as well as the function of monitoring online and fault diagnosis of the distribution network.
