With the development of information technology, the internal information of enterprises, organizations are becoming more and more various. It is the important subjects and directions about how to enable the enterprises, organizations maintain mountains of information effectively to achieve the areas of data sharing. Domain ontology, as the standard terminology system of domain data integration and canonical core, is the basis on implementation data sharing and integration. The focus of this thesis is how to construct domain ontology intuitively, to meet the demands of non-computer experts. On the basis of deeply research on the present domain ontology build methods and the project of our laboratory "data integration system based on Data Service Matching", this thesis designs a domain ontology management tool to meet the demands of experts in various fields, and initial results are achieved using it in power system. Major work and contributions are as follows:1. Designing and implementing a domain ontology management tool: simple and intuitive for experts in various fields. The tool is repeatedly development on protégé-OWL API, and adds the tree editing module to raise intuitive of the tool. Currently the overall framework structure and central algorithm debugging are completed. The tool can provide a lot of functions, such as a variety of ontology editing, inference of multi-reasoning engineers and database storage.2. Studying depth of the power domain Common Information Model (CIM) and constructions of power domain ontology. This thesis presents an algorithm that can translate the CIM description language to the standard ontology language-OWL DL automatically. The algorithm is implemented as a DOMT's module-"automatic language conversion module". The related experiments prove that the translated CIM hardly has any loss of concepts and can be inferred by computer.3. Using the domain ontology management tool, combined with the research results of power domain ontology construction as well as CIM conversion tool, this thesis build an initial domain ontology knowledge base of power.
