Located in Guergou town of Li county, Shiziping Hydropower Station is the leading reservoir power station developed by the flux-A (Zagunao river basin) of Min River. After its construction, the section of 317 national highways crossing the station needs relocating and reconstructing with a total length of 13.206 km. Under the comprehensive influence of the complex geological environment of reservoir area, the reconstruction to slops owing to the road building and the initial filling of reservoir, the relocation of 317 national highways will brings a series of road distress including landslip and the fall of barricade. These distresses seriously threat the traffic safety, which need to be settled urgently. Therefore, the recognition and research toward the distress development regularities, deformation and failure mechanisms and disposal measures of the relocation section of Shiziping reservoir area in 317 national highways have directive significance toward the disasters reduction and resistance in 317 national highways. Meanwhile, it has a certain academic meanings to perfect the damage study practices of mountain areas and slopes in reservoir areas.Taking the relocation section of Shiziping reservoir area of 317 national highways as an example, the paper has made an instructive analysis and discussion from the following aspects:(1)Based on the analysis toward the geological environment of the researching areas and survey toward the outdoor geological antitypes, the geologic framework of roadside slope areas have been classified into six subdivisions of three big groups, and at the same time, the highway slopes have also divided into five geological structure zones.(2)According to the basic characteristics of the highway distresses, highway distresses developed in the highway have been classified into three types:①landslide,②falling,③Sedimentation owing to the falling of barricade. Through analyzing separately the deformation and failure mechanisms, mode and distribution regularities of road distresses in different slope structures, this paper has deeply examined the control functions of the geological structure toward the development of the highway distresses and made the conclusion that the excavation and fill of highway slopes and rise and fall of water level of reservoir are the crucial inducing factors of the emergence of highway distresses.(3)Based on the outdoor investigation to the geological antitypes, various deformation and failure mechanisms, mode, stability and developing trends have been analyzed through combining the"geological process mechanisms", limiting equilibrium calculation and numerical modeling finite-element.(4)Based on the analysis and calculation to various typical deformation and failure mechanisms and stability of highway distresses, reasonable treat countermeasures have been adopted and then this paper have had concept design and stabilized effects analysis to the disposal measure by way of static equilibrium calculation and infinite–element simulation.
