Study On Suitability Evaluation Of The Road Network In Huangpu District And Its Countermeasures For Improvement

With the highly developed urbanization in China, social economy development sees an increasing need for the transportation . Therefore, the road transportation plays a more and more important role in the whole traffic system. However, in some combination area of city and country ,with the development of the reform , its road network has become too undeveloped to adapt to the urbanization . When dealing with the problems caused by the backward road network , the government only took some partial methods, which can not solve the problem ultimately. As one of developed cities in China ,Guangzhou also meets such kind of problems and Huangpu District , in the east rural area of Guangzhou , one of the important construction area of the project"Eastward", is facing a great challenge in its road network. The thesis paper will focus on the sutability evaluation of the road network in Huangpu District and its improvement countermeasures.Based on the above reasons, I have done a research on the road network in Huangpu District in terms of the traffic capacity, collecting and analyzing the related statistics , then giving comprehensive and microscopic evaluations on the suitability of the road network in Huangpu District and finally find out the existed crucial problems to give suggestions and theory support to the government on the future improvement and development about the road network.First, this paper focuses on analyzing the present situations of the road network in Huangpu District , Guangzhou City. From the angle of the velocity of flow, the vehicle types, the capacity of flow and the direction of the flow, the traffic combination and the rush hour transportation, the features of Huangpu District road network will be drawn .Second, using the comprehensive and microscopic methods, I evaluate the road network with the statistics drawn in the first part, and then give the comprehensive assessment on its suitability .Finally, make a prediction on the future traffic capacity of flow and give the suggestions and countermeasures on the improvements and developments of the road network in Huangpu District.
