The residential kindergartens are the supporing residential utilitise which are fouced by government in our country. With the numbers of commercial housing increased, the numbers of commercial residential kindergartens are increasing, and they have becoming an important part of education buildings. However, the commercial residential kindergartens in our country have currently oppeared various uneven phenomenents. Reasons for this phenomenon are varied. Such as childhood community-based education, the concepts of marketing development, the supervision and attention of the government and so on.The paper based on the status of commercial residential kindergartens, conducts real-measurement and data quantification of child public professional teaching classrooms and activity spaces environment of fifteen commercial residential kindergartens in GuangDong Province; through comprehensive analysis and comparative studies, discusses on the layout of child special teaching classrooms and activity environment, to gain some design experience and improvement. And based on the development of commercial residentisl kindergartens background, this paper proposes the development trend of such special classrooms and activity space, and provides a reference model for the residential kindergarten design.This thesis has six chapters in total, is divided into four parts, and betweenthe various parts of the relationship is layers progressive:The first part consists of ChaptersⅠandⅡ,and are mainly of introduction,related concepts and background information. ChaptersⅠis about on the subject of origin, study subject, research background and significance, and establishes the starting point and research direction.ChaptersⅡbriefly discusses the history and background of the commercial residential kindergartens, analysises the influence factors analysis of the commercial residential kindergarten.The second part is of ChapterⅢ, and it is one of this paper's main parts which research into the investigation status. this part selects special classrooms and exercise space of fifteen resitential kindergartens in Guangdong Province as research object, from the characteristics of teaching and activity space, modes of behaviour, use requirements, etc.detailed description of the various natures and the use of the special teaching and activity space. it provides the foundation for the objective research.The third part is of ChpaterⅣ, and it is the other main part of this paper. Based on the results achieved of last part of fifteen commercial residential kindergartens on the special status classroom and exercise space study, this part explores in greater depth of the child spcial classroom and activity space design strategy. At first, it analysises four design features, including the location choice, interior design, the internal environment and the support facilities. And then,it focuses on the study of compact layout of activity space of residential kindergarten, analysis the experience and improvement of compact exercise space design.The fourth part is the ChapterⅤand conclusions. The ChapterⅤcombines real design cases, applies theory research into practical projects, testing and revising it . the last is conclusion, making conclusion on problems researched in this thesis and proposing referenced ideas for related thoughts in the future.The fourth part is the fifth chapter conclusions, and the fifth chapter the engineering design practice of the neighborhoods in the kindergarten building design analysis.
