Study On Urban Square Design Of Tongliao

Tongliao city is the center of culture, education and business logistics for the eastern Inner Mongolia. Five uban squares of this city which have been built are the major places for the life, communication and entertainment of people in this whole city. The five urban squares also play an important role in perfecting the urban functions, creating a city image and improving the quality of the city. With the further deepening of the urbanization, this high-quality urban square has become the main subject for the future development of Tongliao, which will make a great contribution to satisfy people's increasing material and non-material needs.The uban squares of Tongliao is the actual object of this study. Combining theory and practice,this paper has made an further understanding and conclusion for the concept of the urban square, the quality of the urban square, the physical composition of the urban square and the factors which affect the urban square design. Also this paper has discussed in depth the material elements (human activity) and material elements (space) which affect the quality of urban square the base plane, perimeter and furniture which constitute material entities for the city square and the factors such as urban population and economy, urban morphosis, urban geography, social culture and so on which affect the design of the urban square.In this paper, the method of investigation and analysis was used. Through processing of research and analysis on city overview and development of Tongliao, this paper has carried out research collated and summarized overview of the five urban squares which have been built. It also summarizes the achievements which have got and the problems that have still existed. Meanwhile, on the above basis, this paper puts forward multi-functional, human, geographical, ecological trends for the development of urban plaza of Tongliao and makes integrity, sustainability and dynamic design principles, which are based on the theory of urban morphology, science of human settlements, adaptive design, dynamic design, urban renewal and so on.Finally, this paper has discussed measures for the urban square of Tongliao, through the study on the base plane, perimeter and furniture of urban square, the perimeter of urban square, the furniture of urban square. And in view of Zhelimu square which has been remoulding this paper brings forward reconstruction proposition for the urban square of Yingbing, Xilamulun, Horqin and Olympic. At the same time, the practical experience of the design of people square of Tongliao which I participated in is a good reference for the future design of city square.
