Study On The Adaptability Of Architectural Materials In The Design Of External Shape

The main purpose of this paper is to analyze and conclude the characteristics and advantages of various material in external shape of architectures.And then summarizes some application principles which should pay attention to of the building materials used in external morphology. So this will sum up a set of scientific and practical approach for architects in the design of specific building materials used. The research includs five parts.Part one: systematic introduce the study background, study methods, and study situation.Part two:systematic analyze the developing process of the building external shape. Part three:firstly, describe the various related concepts of the material, and then analyze the characheristics and expression features of various common materials, then illustrate how materials has been designed and used in building external shape, combined with relevant architectural examples.Part four:to show five principles of using materials in the design of building external shape, which including principles of ecological adaptability, principles of regional adaptability, principles of aesthetic adaptability, principles of enduring and economical adaptability, principles of function adaptability. Part five: analyze the new matericals of building external shape on the current with examples, then make a prediction of the development trend of the new matericals in building external shape.
