With the technological development and social progress, for the products, people nolonger stay these simple basic requirements of availability, durability, but propose more andmore "human" concept, hope to give "material "more" human "factor. So, times change andnew features make product design change and propose new requirements, the center of thedesign gradually shift to the direction of ergonomics, and has become a subject of muchconcern to designers.The application of the theory - ergonomics in product design is not only to achieve thefunction, but also to meet the emotional needs of users. Modern design should break theshackles of matter, as a spiritual and cultural expression. In product design and developmentprocess, we should pay more attention to human-machine performance of products asconvenience, comfort, reliability, safety, efficiency. In this study, two major studies are carriedout and discussed about the ergonomics issues in product design. On the one hand combiningexamples of product appearance design to expound; on the other hand, testing and anglicizingdata of the user's physiological information to determine the user's psychological and physicalimpact on the tested products.In this paper, the application of the ergonomics theory in product design, in addition tothe body measured size, mainly in the other senses to do more supplement and enrichment,that is, in the process of using the product, the comfortable extent of the human parts andappearance of the product shape, color and other factors on human visual experience andaesthetic fatigue cause. By improving the appearance and Interface of handheld terminal andcommunication controller to make new products more in line with the aesthetic demands ofthe times. Through analyzing and processing the test results about EMG, pulse, critical flicker fusion and scores of subjective fatigue, obtained the user's fatigue increases with thefrequency, but the cause of their fatigue within the average capacity of the body. This isbasically achieved the desired effect on product improvement.Though in this paper, the application of ergonomics is only carried out for individualproduct, but the method is representative. Hoping for providing a lead for the futuredevelopment of product design. The human factor, such as some may affect the safety,comfort, easy operation and so on, the designer during design should give sufficient attentionand integrate them into the design process.
