With the rapid development of Computer Technology and numerical simulationTechnology, numerical simulations on computers are widely used in the field of sciencestudies. The paper makes numerical simulations about penetrating to concrete usingANSYS/LS-DYNA, which is a well-developed finite element analysis application. The mainwork of this paper can be summarized as follows:First of all,The paper makes a general introduction about the penetration againstconcrete targets in the past and at present, and this paper also lays a foundation for thefollowing work.Secondly,The numerical simulations of the penetration against concrete targets areperformed with the different parameter of the target thickness, the concrete strength, the noseshape , the velocity of the projectiles and the angle of trespass of the relationship among theeffects and big or small of the different parameters is analyzed.Thirdly, This paper makes a survey of many empirical formulas, and numericalsimulations are performed in the range of typical formulas with the constitutive model H-J-C.The results of the simulations are almost the same as those of the formulas, so the simulationsvalidated the results of the empirical formula. The method of simulating is proved to belogically correct. Finally, The effect of deck number on the protection ability is presented by the simulationbetween single deck concrete target two deck and triple deck one. The protection ability oftriple deck target and double deck is better than that of the single deck target, As a result ofincreasing the number of deck is helpful to improve the protection ability of protection works.
