The warhead penetration question is always a key research topic in military industry field. It has important meaning for the structure design of the warhead and protective engineering. According to the applicable scope of traditional experience method and analytic method is limited, this paper is based on the ANSYS/LS-DYNA software, by using the finite element technology to numerical simulate and analyze the warhead penetration question. The main work of this paper is as follows:First this paper introduces the general study situation of the penetration question, the construction model and the hit characteristic of concrete, as well as the research methods and theoretical foundation of penetration question. Through numerical simulating and analyzing the warhead penetrating single-layer concrete target, we obtain the relations between the warhead penetration effect and the target intensity, the incident speed, target thickness and the warhead shape.Next the warhead penetrating multi-layer concrete target was numerical simulated and analyzed. Its result shows that the relations between the posture, the path, the penetration depth of the warhead and the warhead center of mass position, the incident speed and the incident drift angle. It provides us the theory reference to control the burst posture and the burst depth of the penetration ball.By selecting the typical experience formula and making a comparison between the numerical simulation results and formula calculation results we verified the reliability of numerical simulation methods. Finally we made a discussion about the protection problems of the anti-penetration structure.
