17 wilt──inducing isolates of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. liniwere obtained from the diseased flaxs from the four main flaxpruduction regions, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi province, Hebei province,Gansu province, through cellection, isolation, single macroconidiapurification. these isolates were classified into four types ofesterase isoenzyme by the electrophoretic technology, and theisolates from the same region belonged to the same type of esteraseisoenzyme, so we called the types of esterase isoenzyme theecotypes. The high susceptible flax line, 7528-4-2-1, wasrespectively inoculated by eight isolates, and 23 flax materialswith the different resistibility were respectively inoculated byfour random selected isolates, GB1,SB8,NB2,HB6. All the flaxmaterials with inoculation and without inoculation (ck) wereinvestigated and evaluated by disease index. The results showed thatboth the wilt-inducing ability of the isolates and the resistanceof the flaxs were significantly different. through the analysis ofthe changes of three enzymes, phenylanine ammonia lyase.(PAL),Peroxidase (P0), and (PP0), of the susceptib1e and the resistantmaterials before and after the inoculation with the same isolate, weconfirm that the changes characteristics of PP0 and PAL were reliableto evaluate the resistibility of flax. 0ne of antibiotic was testedon ability of fighting against four types of isolates, and the resultsshowed that all the ecotypes of isolates were controlled by theantibiotic.
