Studies on affinity and combining ability and genetic variation of the descendants from anther culture of photoperiod-sensitive genie male-sterile riceAbstractAnther culture of photoperiod-sensitive genie male-sterile materials (PGMM) with different genotypes and two-line hybridized combinations, and systematic studies on fertility transform and affinity and combining ability of the pollen plants from PGML, and ploidy change and genetic variation of major agronomic traits of the pollen plants from two-line hybridized combinations have been carried out. The results indicate that:1. There is the difference between indica materials of different genotypes in the anther culture ability;2. The anther culture ability in different hybridized combinations from indica x indica is also various, the change tendency of culture ability which was affected by the two parents is thaf'high x high " > "high x low"or "low x high" > " low x low " ;3. PGMM after anther culture remain the similar character of fertility transform as the parent, which shows the sterility under long-light and high-temperature, and the fertility under short-light and low-temperature;4. HI generation pollen plants from PGMM and their hybridized combinations exhibit diversity in ploidy, fertility and agronomic traits;5. The major lines composed of HS generation pollen plants from the same hybridized combination of PGMR display relative uniformity, and a few lines show segregation, but there is the difference between the lines from the same combination;6. The descendant from anther culture of PGMR has relative regularity and doesn't exhibit vigor decline, moreover, there are some agronomic traits and materials exceeded to check materials;7. The research on Ha generation of the pollen plants from peiai64sHs, PeixuansHs, Nongken SSsHs and the plants of their check parents shows that we can gain some lines prior rate to check material on the base of pollon sterility > 99.5 percent, it means that it is possible for anther culture to pure and improve photoperiod-sensitive genie male-sterile line;8. There is the similarity on affinity between PGML from anther culture and check PGML x test variety, This explains that the affinity character of PGML pollen plants has not changed.9. Comparing with the parent's, combining ability effect in some traits from HS generation pollen plant of PGML advents some negative-effect or positive-effect change,in which it can enrich genetic variation type.
