In order to determine appropriate mixed level of alfalfa meal in growing-finishing pig's dietary and its physiological and biochemical mechanism, in the same time, provide scientific foundation of alfalfa of appliance and generalization in breeding swine, the experiment was conducted to study the influence of different mixed alfalfa meal in growing-finishing pig's dietary on growth performance, carcass quality and biochemical index.1. study on effect of alfalfa meal diet on performance and digestive physiology of growing pigsThe experiment was planed with random group design. A total of 60 growing pigs, weighting about 25Kg, were randomly divided into 5 groups, 12 for each group. One of these groups were used as the control group, group I,II, III, IV were used as the experimental ones. Group I II III were fed the diets containing different mixed alfalfa meal (5 %, 10%, 15%,20% ) There were three replicates in every group, and there were randomly four pigs in every replicate.According to growth performance of the experiment, in group I,II,III,IVwhich were added with alfalfa meal, group II was the best than all of the other groups in Average Daily Gain and efficiency of feed utilization, and the different relative to the control group was significant (P<0.05 ) .According to biochemical index, after added appropriate level alfalfa meal ingrowing pig's dietary, groupI,II, III, IV had an significant difference with the controlone in GH, Ins, IGF-1 (P<0.05) . And the content of GLU and CHO of groupI, II,III IV decreased, had no significant difference compared to the control group(P>0.05) .2. study on effect of alfalfa meal diet on performance and meat quality of finishing pigs40 finishing pigs, weighting about 50Kg, were randomly divided into 5groups, 8 for each group. One of these groups were used as the control group, group I,II,III,IVwere used as the experimental ones. Group I, II, III were fed the diets containing different mixed alfalfa meal (10%,15%,20% ) and group IV was fed the diets containing 20% alfalfa meal and appropriate mixed cellulose enzyme. There were four replicates in every group, and there were randomly two pigs in every replicate.According to growth performance of the experiment, in group I,II,III,IV which were added with alfalfa meal, group II was the best than all of the other groups in Average Daily Gain and efficiency of feed utilization, and the different to the control group was significant (P<0.05) .According to carcass quality, after added appropriate level alfalfa meal in store pig's dietary, there was a significant improvement for group II in muscle rate and butcher rate (P<0.05), There was a great improvement for group II and III in meat quality.According to biochemical index, after added appropriate level alfalfa meal in finishing pig's dietary, groupI, II, III,IV had an significant difference with the control one in GH,Ins,IGF-1(P<0.05) . And there was a significant decrease in GLU and CHO for group III, IV (P<0.05) .
