Seven cattle breeds, including Simmental, Charolais, Limousin, Angus, Jinnan, Qinchuan, Luxi, were used as experimental population. The genetic variatipn (gene frequency, heterozygosity, polymorphic information content and effective number of alleles ) and genetic structure of 8 microsatellite loci ( BM8125, RM113, TEXAN2,FCB48, INRA027, IDVGA37. BMS2137. ILSTS098 ) was analyzed in 7 cattle populations. The results showed that 6 of 8 microsatellite loci were highly plymorphic in these 7 breeds, The clustering dendrogram by genetic distance of the 8 microsatellites can correctly reflect geographical distribution of and the relationship among the 7 cattle populations.Eight microsatellite loci were associated to beef performance traits of Jinnan, Qinchuan,Charolais,Limousin. For microsatellite TEXAN2, allele 120/120 had a positive relation with back fat thickness, however, microsatellite BM8125, allele 125/125 showed a significant negative correlation with back fat thickness. For allele 118/134 of microsatellite BM8125, allele 116/133 of microsatellite TEXAN2 and allele 158/178 168/192 of microsatellite INRA027, had a positive relation with marbling, however, allele 129/144 of microsatellite BSM2317 and allele 159/159 of microsatellite FCB48 showed a significant negative correlation with marbling. In this experiment, the correcte of ultrasound measures was analyzed. The results Substantiate the correcte.
