Research On Project Management System Of Water-Saving Farming For Arid Area Based On GIS

At present, the level of project management of water-saving farming for arid area is with the low quality of high technology. So it is urgent to gradually set up a project management system of water-saving farming for arid area in order to improve the level of management by using the information technology .Based on the character and requirement of the project management of water-saving farming for arid area, we design a sound set of technology project on the project management information system of water-saving farming for arid area based on GIS, including the project data inputting system, the management and decision-making system and the water-saving website. I pay more attention to design the process in which disaster data change into vector data and the seamless integration between GIS data and the system.This study simulates the work flow of the project management of water-saving farming for arid area, and design according to the requirements of the software in office automation system in the intranet, during the process of examining and approving the projects, the system sets the limit to the processor automatically in order to avoid abusing power. This enforces the rationality and transparence of the project management, on the other hand, improves the work mode and work efficiency.This study takes ESRI's MapObjects as GIS platform, and adopt the basic basement -MS-Access, MS-SQL server 2000, the MS Visual Basic as developing tools in order to design and develop the farming disaster system. To improve the popularity and stability of the system, we take a lot of techniques such as the idea of the OOP, the SQL and the relation data memory to realize the program's transplant in the process of program's arithmetic design.This system was testified practically in project management of water-saving fanning for arid area in some provinces.
