The Study on Basal Information Database of Forest Fuel and Fire Behavior of Pinus Pumila in Daxing'anling Mountains in Heilongjiang Province Du Jianhua(Forestry Conservation) Directed by Prof.Shu Lifu Sr. Engineer. Du Yongsheng ABSTRACT This dissertation devises and finishes the construction of basal forest fuel databaseof Daxing 'anling mountain in Heilongjiang Province based on Geographic Informationsystem. The data was saved in GOVERRAGE. The main content of the database includethe information of distribution of forest fuel, road, river, railway and main residentialarea. It can be provide the The fundamental GIS functions that fire fighting directorinterested in, such as Identify, zoom in, zoom out, pan, measure, export etc. with thedevelopment of the database, it will give important guideline to the fire-fighting director,and will play an important role in the fire fighting. On the base of the database and the distribution of pinus pumlia , the fuel types ofpinus pumlia were divided into two types. The contents and conclusions of the paperinclude: Rate of spread, fireline intensity and flame length of both the types change withwind speed, slope and fuel bed depth. The fire behave index of pinus pumlia-DahurianLarch are higher than that of pinus pumlia-bush. And with the increase of wind , thedifference increased.
