Based on investigating the status of intensive management and operation on mutton-sheep farm, this Mutton-sheep Production Information Management System (MPIMS) analyzed the new characteristics and requirements of the intensive management and operation of mutton-sheep breeding enterprises. MPIMS applied the B/S (Browser /Server) mode and Javascript language to design eight functions, which can satisfy the requirements of modern intensive management and operation. It also developed the oriented-network computer information management system. Through tested and experimented, this system can run safely and reliably and the results also shows that it owns some advantages such as rational functions,practicability,operational feature and nice interface. There are some technological features described as follows: 1. During the time of developing this system, we redefined all kinds of production performance. The performance can meet to not only the requirements of system but also scientific managements. Realizing the efficiency managements and guiding mutton-sheep breeding enterprises will have much more value. 2. It is the first time during the same category productions to apply data mining technology and setting warning mode, which can dynamically analyze and process the multi production performance of mutton-sheep in real-time and also improve the practicability. 3. Applying dynamical network technology, this system can realize the on-line remote control, which can save the financing for network construction and also realize real-time work. The main module functions of this system includes the systemic management module,expert consultation module,breed management module,feedstuff management module,drugs management module,the disease examines module and statistical analyze module etc. Administrator can warrant user to manage system and also refer to the manual through the systemic management module. Expert consultation module includes all kinds of technical resource. Breed management module includes all sorts of plans and some records about sheep breeding. Feedstuff management module includes the deals of feedstuff and the status of using records. It also can make the prescription by itself based on the produce requirements. Drugs management module includes registering input and output records in database so as to analyze in the future. The disease examines module can realize diagnosing for the mutton-sheep and registering the treatment records and searching it. Statistical analyze module is the kernel of this system. It can report all kinds of forms based on the records registered by daily production management module. It also can compare some performance of the productions in real-time and give the warnings about great changes. This system stores lots of detail information so that the administrator can query. The function of each mold MPIMS is so integrated that the process design is reasonable and the system data processing is accurate, which keeps the integrity and consistencies of the data, consequently, it comes true information mutual communication and share within the definite scope of the mutton-sheep production. The setup of MPIMS have agility,expansion and safety the measure so that it can guarantee better normal work of its. Consequently, MPIMS can support information search and creation of various statistics. This system has User Interface amity, and that operation and the maintenance is convenience. We can rather raise the yield efficiency and directorial levels of mutton-sheep production by MPIMS, sequentially, it will produce significantly economic and society benefit, improving corporation image. Under the condition that the mutton-sheep production management system reforms and same industry competition increases continuously, how to reinforce the competitive advantage of meat-sheep production have been important problem that the mutton-sheep production is survival and development. This system works in the operating system of Windows Server 2000 and adopts B/S structure. The performance of running environment demands relation database SQL Server 2000 and connecting with Internet by IE whose version should exceed 5.0. Workstation's operating system is Windows Windows95/98/ ME/2000/ XP. Interface use the traditional drop list menu, which can operate very easy.
