An useful plant,Tagetes patula L.,widely distributed in all over the world, was investigated for its bioactivity and mechanical toxicology against Sucra jujuba Chu and Ancylis sativa Liu .The root of T.patual was extracted using three different methods of the Sohxlet, extraction in the water bath at 50℃and extract in room temperature(about 28 ℃) , each with three different solvents: chloroform .methanol and ethyl acetate. In the tests, pesticidal activities of photo-treated group is significantly higher than that of dark-treated group. Activities of chloroform extracts which were obtained by soxhelt method from Tagetes patula is higher than that of the others, and pesticidal activities of extracts from root is significantly higher than that of extracts from flower. In the test of activities of chloroform and methanol extracts obtained from root of Tagetes patula ,by soxhelt method , the death rate of the third-instar larvae of Sucra jujuba Chu treated by feeding is higher than that of treated by contacting respectively and antifeeding activity of crude extracts is not significant in choice test, and pesticidal activities of chloroform extracts is higher than that of methanol extracts .The test indicates that stomach action is more significant than contract action. In the field test , the methanol extracts by soxhelt method had strong detertory effect against the oviposition of adult of Ancylis sativa Liu.72h after treatment with 20mg/ml the methanol extracts in no-choice and choice tests, the deterrent rates were 60.18%and 58.36% In order to study mechanical toxicology, the activities of several enzyme in 3th instar Sucra jujuba Chu larvae were tested with conventional biochemical method after photo and dark reactivation treated by the chloroform extracts(TPC) , which was obtained by soxhelt method from the root of Tagetes patula. The results showed that...
