The "CN I " was a kind of compound preparation of Chinese traditional medicine ,which was developed of our laboratory. It indicated remarkably curative effect on creatural diarrhea by the tests of pharmacodynamics and clinic. In order to clarify the limited and safety of Chinese traditional medicine "CN I " on toxicology experiment which include acute, accumulation, special, sub-acute toxicity, traditional teratogenic , mutagenic test with Kunming mice. Except the acute toxicity test , the other tests were doubled 1,2,4 of proportion on the base of the ordinary diets and additional one control group. The acute test indicated LD50 >60 973mg/kg , which was inferred Chinese traditional medicine "CN I "was nonpoisonous matter .The result of accumulation test did not show death and anomaly phenomena. The results suggested that Chinese traditional medicine "CN I "was nonpoisonous matter. The subchronic toxicity test of Chinese traditional medicine "CN I " in Kunming mice was studied: the mice was examined for whole blood, serum glutamicpyruvic, glutamicoxaloacetic , and illness state or heart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney, brain at 30 and 90 days after drug administration. The results suggested that the mice high dose, middle dose and low dose have not manifested toxicity. The toxicity "CN I " was very slight; The breeding test of the mice was examined for living numbers of boring young, young rat growth; birth living rate and foster-living rate. The result indicated that "CN I "were not significant toxicity matter. The teratogeny test indicated that the embryo weight; body length and tail length of negative group was not significantly highter than those of control groups. The different was not significance in tai bone; appearance anomaly; internal organs anomaly. The mutagenic test indicated that micronuclei^ sperm abnormality, Ames test result were negative. The results indicated that "CN I " were not significance mutagenic matter. The above results indicated that Chinese traditional medicine "CN I " was nonpoisonous matter and the application of clinic was safe.
