In order to clarify the limited and safety of the Monascus and Chinese traditional medicine synbiotics。There was a toxicology experiment carried out which include acute, accumulation, special, sub-acute toxicity, traditional teratogenic, mutagenic test with Kunming mouse.Expect the acute and the accumulation toxicity text, the other tests included one control group and three test groups which were added 1%,3%, 5%bentonite respectively on the base of the ordinary diets. The acute test indicated that, LD50 was over 20736mg/Kg which inferred that bentonite is nonpoisonous matter. The results suggested that Aloe compound additive was nontoxic material. The result of the spern anomaly test indicated that there were no significant difference among the groups (P>0.05).The sub-chronic toxicity test of Monascus and Chinese traditional medicine synbiotics in Kunming mice was carried out. The mouse was examined for whole blood, serum glutamicpyruvic, glutamicoxaloacetic, and illness state or heart, liver, spleen, lung, kidney, superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity and malondialdehyde(MDA) levels of liver and kidney at 90 days after drug administration. The results suggested that high dose, middle dose and low dose groups have not appear manifested toxicity. There was no significantly difference of routine target, blood target, and the effects of antioxidant and scavenging of radical substance between control and treatment groups(P>0.05). The experiment results indicate that the level 1% Monascus purpureus combination Chinese traditional medicine can increase the activity of SOD and reduce the levels of MAD in the mouse. The breeding test examined for living numbers of boring young, young rat growth; berth living rate and foster-living rate. The result indicated that Monascus and Chinese traditional medicine synbiotics were not significantly toxicant. The teratogeny test indicated that the embryo weight, internal organs and bone were not significant. The body length and tail length of test groups were significantly higher than those of control. The result indicated that Aloe compound additive can accelerate the growth of mice. The mutagenic test indicated that Micronucleus, Sperm abnormality result is negative. There was no significant mutagenic effect of Monascus and Chinese traditional medicine synbiotics on mouse.
