Red raspberry and Blackberry belong to Rubus L.of Rosaceae, and are called the third generation fruit trees developping very quickly throughout the world nowadays. They are a kind of important bacca plants cultivated in many countries. The berry fruits have beautiful color , good taste, great value in nutrition proved to be potential benefits to people's health. The fruit not only can be eaten directly but also exploited in many fields including medication, dressing, health care, and food process. The fruit and the processed products are very popular in the world, especially the European and American market .Red raspberry and Backberry belong to Labour intensive industry, compared with developed countries, most of developing countries, including China, have the advantage of developing on large scale. Moreover, the planting of Red raspberry and Blackberry is transferring from developed countries to developing countries. Therefore, big profits must be achieved from exploitation and seedling propagation in our country.Based on the analysis of exploitation and extensional project of Red raspberry and Blackberry, we found that there is a serious problem of seedling culture ,on which the traditional propagation of Red raspberry and Blackberry is so inefficient that it cannot meet the high demands of the current market. On the other hand, some plant virus are easy to cause disease on Red raspberry and Blackberry by invading them .Obviously , it is important and urgent to solve the problem of virus-free and propagation that seriously restrict the progress of industrial development of Red raspberry and Blackberry in our country .So we perform this study on Virus-free and Rapid-propagation of Red raspberry and Blackberry for Seedling Culture in Factory in order to provide large number and high quality seedlings in the near future.In this experiment, taking American Red raspberry Heritage and Blackberry Shawnee as the testing materials, we studied the technology and methods for seedling culture in factory, including the introduction of the best explants, selection of basic culture medium, screening of the combinations of hormone in culture medium, the combinational operation of double shoot-tip and heat treatment, root-inducing and transplanting and the management to young plants. Through systematic study, we have put forward the optimal virus-free and rapid-propagation technological system and optimized techniques for Sfftdling culture in factory from initial culture, subculture, root-inducing, virus-free to transplanting adaption on Red raspberry and Blackberry. Main results as follows:The optimum method of selecting materials and culture mediums for initial culture stage of Red raspberry and Blackberry were obtained; The best differentiating and rooting mediums for Red raspberry and Blackberry were screened; Two kinds of virus of Red raspberry and Blackberry were eliminated by means of combination of shoot tip culture and heat treatment and virus-free plantlet was finally regenerated; Form a set of transplanting techniques which has high survival rate.We have set up a regeneration system of Raspberry and Blackberry by using the technology of tissue culture, and find a successful propagation system for factory production. So virus-free plantlet will be taken into the market greatly and rapidly. Based all these results, we utilize the tissue culture technology to propagate red Raspberry and Blackberry to meet the market requirement, and got more economic and social profits.
