Urban green space system is an important part of urban ecosystem. It plays essential roles in urban ecological environment and healthy development. Comprehensive evaluations on green space should be established depending on their function requirements. It is necessary to have evaluation systems in investigating green space quality, improving green space situation, regulating green space construction and maintaining green space function. This work selected three different functional area, they are hospital, precision instrument factory and residential area. Comprehensive evaluation systems were established for each types of green space in Shanghai. So the scientific quantified indices can be provided for assessing the present situation, planning and constructing the three types of green space in Shanghai.Based on the principal of being scientific, systemic, purposive, comparable and operable, this paper set up index systems of three special types green space which respectively attached to hospital, precision instruments factory and residential area by means of the methods of consulting experts, analyzing theory and frequency. Then evaluation standard and calculation methods for each index are established by using plant resources database. At the same time, applying analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine the index weight, constructing judgment matrix by consulting experts, each index weight of comprehensive evaluation systems of three special types green space can be calculated by using the sum-product method of AHP. Consequently, the comprehensive evaluation systems of three special types green space can be established and applied in the three green space in Shanghai. The main conclusions were drawn as following:1. The index systems of three special types green space which respectively attached to hospital, precision instrument factory and residential area don't show much difference. Each of them includes three levels: the goal layer(A),the criterion layer(B), the index layer(C).The criterion layer includes three factors composed of ecological adaptation(B1), ecological function(B2), landscape function(B3).The index layer includes twelve indices: plant growth potential(C1), CO2-fixing(C2), dusty absorption (C3), disinfection(C4), harmful gas absorption(C5), noise reduction(C6), air negative ions(C7), temperature adjustment(C8) ,relative humidity adjustment(C9), community species diversity(C10), community life-form and structure diversity(C11), community beautification grade(C12) .2. The index weight in each level of the comprehensive evaluation systems of three special types green space is different from each other. And the difference reflects different functional requirements of the three special types green space. In the comprehensive evaluation systems of green space attached to hospital, the weight of ecological function (0.476) is bigger than the weight of ecological adaptation (0.2915) and landscape function (0.2325) in the criterion layer, and the weight of noise reduction, harmful gas absorption, disinfection is bigger than other ecological function indices.
