In order to improve Chuannong16, 99E18×Chuannong16 was made in 2000 based on the breeding tact. A series of steady lines were got. The agronomy characters, resistance, quality properties and amino acid content of these lines and their parents were evaluated. The main results showed as following:1. The genetic differences between the parents were detected based on agricultural characters, disease resistance, SSR markers, A-PAGF. and SDS-PAGF. 1000-grain weight of 99E18 was higher than Chuannong16. 99E18 was iso-immune to stripe rust and Chuannong16 was medium resistance. And 21 of 86 loci (12.80%) in SSR analysis could reveal genetic differences between parents. Meanwhile. 99E18 was non-1BL/RS translocation with the HMW-GS composition 1.7+8.5+10 and Chuannongl6 was 1BL/RS translocation and it's HMW-GS composition was 1,20,5+10. In a word, the agricultural characters, resistances, molecular and bio-chemistry diversity could be perfectly complementary to develop new wheat varieties.2. Lines selections were based on resistance, 1000-grain weight and agronomic characters. 60 F5, 12 F6 and 12 F7 excellent lines were obtained. The 1000-grain weight of these lines was higher than Chuannongl6 and close to 55g. The average 1000-grain weight of all lines of F5, F6, and F7 3 generations had exceeded 50g in succession.
