Study On The Relationship Between TCM Constitution And Syndrome Types In Patients With Colorectal

Objective:To survey the constitutional types of TCM and syndromes in thepatients with colorectal polyps,study the relationships between constitutionsand syndromes and explore the constitutional factors associated with thisdisease.Providing the theoretical basis for preventing and treating colorectalpolyps with Chinese medicine.Methods:The constitutional types on200cases of colorectal polyps patientswere investigated by applying the standard in Classification and Determinationof Constitution in TCM,which was analyzed with the method of Radar Chart. Thesyndromes types of TCM were differentiated by the qualified traditional Chinesephysician.The correlation between constitutional types of TCM and syndromes wasanalyzed.Results:1.The frequency of constitutional types of TCM in200patients with colorectalpolyps were orderly yang deficiency and tendency of yang deficiency,qideficiency and tendency of qi deficiency,phlegm-dampness and tendency of phlegmdampness,damp-heat and tendency of damp-heat,yin deficiency and tendency of yindeficiency,normal,qi stagnation and tendency of qi stagnation,blood stasis andtendency of blood stasis,and special.2.Syndrome distribution was orderly spleen-stomach weaknesssyndrome(syn),middle energizer deficiency and viscera cold syn,damp-heatstagnation syn,syn of liver depression and qi stagnation,blood stasis syn,coldpathogen resistance syn,syn of intestinal dryness and fluid depletion.3.Syn of liver depression and qi stagnation is correlated to qi stagnationconstitution, blood stasis constitution and yin deficiency constitution(P＜0.05）;constitutional types distribution in different age were no difference(P＞0.05）;There are gender difference between normal constitution and damp-heat constitution(P＜0.05）,the men is more.Conclusion:1.The constitutional types of colorectal polyps are mostly yang deficiencyconstitution.Based on Radar Chart and theoretical analysis conclude that yangdeficiency constitution is possibly related to colorectal polyps.2.The syndrome types are mostly spleen-stomach weakness syn and middle energizerdeficiency and viscera cold syn,the disease location are mostly in middleenergize：spleen and stomach.3.Syn of liver depression and qi stagnation is correlated to qi stagnationconstitution,blood stasis constitution and yin deficiency constitution.Thereis no correlation between the rest of constitutional types and syndromes in thisresearch.
