Clinical Observation Of Acupuncture In The Treatment Of Stroke After Hemiplegia

Purpose:As everybody knows, hemiplegia is the uppermost sequela of paralytics. Any attack to the brain can lead to hemiplegia, and the cerebrovascular diseases are the most common reason for hemiplegia, which brings lots of inconvenience to the patients as well as their family. In this task, we are going to talk about the combination of scalp acupuncture、eye acupuncture、body acupuncture for hemiplegia. Through the clinical observation of the effectiveness of acupuncture for hemiplegia, we can find a more effective and faster way for it.Object and method: This clinical study selected 90 patients with hemiplegia after stroke as the clinical object. In chronological order, these patients are divided into 3 groups:scalp 、eye and body acupuncture group(group1)、eye and body acupuncture group(group2)、scalp and body acupuncture group(group3), 30 persons in each group, acupoints for group1: scalp acupoints: motor area; eye acupoints: kidney area、liver area、upper‐jiao area、lower‐jiao area; body acupoints: Jianyu、Shouwuli、Quchi、Shousanli、Waiguan、Hegu、Biguan、Xuehai、Yanglingquan、Yinlingquan、Zusanli、Fenglong、Sanyinjiao、Xuanzhong、Taichong. Retaining the needle for 30 minites. The acupoints for group 2 are as above; the acupoints for group 3 are as above. Acupunture for the 3 groups once a day, retaining the needle for 30 minites each time, 7 days in a row as one course of treatment. After four courses of treatment, we can observe the recovery of limb function and the untoward effect, then we can judge the curative effect.Results: The efficiency of scalp、eye and body acupuncture group is apparently higher than the other 2 groups’.The patients whose process of disease is shorter than 3 monthes had a better reflection on the acupuncture than those whose process of disease is longer than 6 monthes.Conclusion: 1. Scalp、 eye and body acupuncture 、scalp and body acupuncture 、 eye and body acupuncture are all effective for hemiplegia after stroke. 2.T he curative effect of scalp、 eye and body acupuncture for hemiplegia after stroke is better than the others’. 3. Acupuncture for hemiplegia after stroke is a kind of convenient and effective method with no side effects, which is worth promoting. 4.The effect of acupuncture has close relationship with the process of disease, the shorter of the process is, the better the effect is. It is important to acupuncture the patients who has hemiplegia as soon as possible.
