Study On Medicinal Plant Resources Of Rhodiola

Rhizoma et Radix Rhodiolae,or "hongjingtian" in Chinese,was originally a traditional Tibetan medicine,which derives from many species of Rhodiola genus.Qinghai Province is located in Qinghai-Tibet plateau,where has a great abundance in natural resource of Rhodiola and has a broad development prospect.Hongjingtian has a complicated origin in our state market and it’s quality varies greatly.To ensure the safety and effectivity of clinical drugs and medicine,it is necessary to evaluate Hongjingtian herb overall.In this thesis,the chemical composition,quality control methods and pharmacologic action were investigated in details.The chemical constituents of Hongjingtian were systematically studied and 9 compounds were obtained,which were purified with silica gel,sephadex LH-20 column chromatography and recrystallization.Utilizing chemical and spectroscopic methods,the structures of 7 compounds were fully characterized as 1,4-benzenediol,β-sitosterol,vanillic acid,daucosterol,gallic acid,salidroside,kaempferol.These compounds were suitable as standard substances for quantitative.All of the 5 species were collected from Qinghai.Using the methods of pharmacognosy identification,were the feature of character,powder,cross section and thin-layer chromatography.HPLC-UV quantitative analysis methods were established for assessing the quality of "Hongjingtian" in different place of Qinghai.Under isocratic elution mode,an HPLC-UV method was developed for the simultaneous quantification of those phenolic compounds, gallic acid and salidroside.The methods were rapid,accurate and could be redily utilized as quality control methods of "Hongjingtian" in different place of Qinghai.To investigate the activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis,anti-anoxia, antiaging effects of the extract from two different "Hongjingtian"in Qinghai.Contrast research on the action of Rhodiola Kirilowii and Rhodiola algida in Qinghai.The activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis was measured by platelet aggregation which is induced by collagen and the number of mice was died by pulmonary embolism which was induced by the mixture induction of collagen protein and adrenaline.The anti-anoxia survival time under normal pressure and gasping time after decapitation was recorded.The antiaging was obtained by determinated SOD activities and MDA content in serum.In equal dosage(crude drug),Rhodiola Kirilowii is stronger than Rhodiola algida in activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis and Rhodiola algida is better than Rhodiola Kirilowii in anti-anoxia,in addition,two has significant effect in antiaging.Reasonable application in the development of Radix Rhodiola.Combining the utilization of natural resources of Chinese medicinal materials,phytochemistry, pharmaceutical analysis,pharmacognosy and pharmacology,the constituents of commodity "Hongjingtian"in Qinghai were studied,the pharmacognosy identification and quality assessment standards of those medical herbs were also investigated.This research provided a benefical exploration for the modernization of traditional Tibetan medicine.
