Research On The Model Of Veterinary Vocational Education Under The New Veterinary Medical System

Veterinary professional education is an important way to train applied veterinary medical professionals, and an important support platform to ensure production modernization in animal husbandry and food safety, to control animal epidemics and anthropozoonosis. The essential factors of veterinary vocational education, such as educational system, training objectives and training model, are influenced, regulated and controlled not only by exist educational system, but also by animal husbandry development level and national veterinary medical system. Cause the shortage of sort management to veterinary staff in China, the veterinary vocational education system wasn't enough perfect and professional training objective wasn't clear, and even low permitting system has affected serously on our veterinary and animal industrial levels. After issuing and implementation of National Administrative Measures of Animal Epidemic Provention, National Administrative Measures for the National Animal Medical Organization, National Administrative Measures for Licensed Veterinary, National Administrative Measures for Country Veterinary, the field and quality of veterinary professional service will be greatly adjusted, and job qualifications of veterinary staff will be highly required. To accommodate with the requirements of veterinary professionals under the new system, new training model and goal of veterinary vocational education should be urgently constructed.The aims of this dissertation were investigating the new veterinary vocational education system accommodating with new national veterinary administrative management. Research had been carried out by means of investigation, visit and interview, questionnaire survey and documents analysis. Basic information mainly obtained from veterinary administrative management, livestock-raising enterprises in Xiangfan City, and relative vocational colleges and vocational high schools in Hubei Province. The current situation and prospective changes of veterinary administrative management and animal industry were the objects, involving the main characteristics, responsibilities, existent problems of veterinary professionals, problem of animal-derived food safety control, and the differences between new and old veterinary administrative management, the influence of new veterinary medicine system on veterinary industry and professionals. Especially,the development, the characteristics and the mainly existent problems of senior and junior veterinary vocational schools under the old system and the challenges and chances which could be brought to veterinary vocational education by the new system were the intensive research contents, which would be the base for us to reform and construct new training objectives and models of veterinary vocational education.With the results, some professionals training model of veterinary vocational education under the new system were suggested as "Three to One Veterinary Professional Training Model", "Three Platforms Senior Vocational Veterinary Teaching Model", "Double Qualification Structured Teaching Staff Construction" and "Professional Practice Base Construction Model", "Work-study Veterinary Professional Training Model" which embodying junior.vocational education features.
