In this experiment, taking Ground-Cover Chrysanthemum as materials, studyed the determination for grape pollen viability, the different pollination treatments, the seed germination and the main properties of genetic characteristics. Discussed the suitable determination method for chrysanthemum powder vitality and medium, the influence of Ground-Cover Chrysanthemum vitality under different storage conditions, the influence of chrysanthemum hybrid compatibility under different pollination methods and treatments. Compared the seed germination rate between the Ground-Cover Chrysanthemum of this year and the the Ground-Cover Chrysanthemum with storaged, the seed germination rate under different temperature treatments. Analysised the color, petal shape, petals sex, height, crown width, flower diameter and other main genetic characteristics of Ground-Cover Chrysanthemum. The purpose is to improve the compatibility and seed rate of Ground-Cover Chrysanthemum, to get more hybrids and enhance the foundation of hybrid method of cultivation to new varieties of Ground-Cover Chrysanthemum, enriching Ground-Cover Chrysanthemum resource. The experiment comes to the following conclusions:The method of vitro germination is most suitable to be used at Ground-Cover Chrysanthemum vigor test, and the most suitable medium is 150g/L sucrose+20mg/L H3BO3+10mg/L CaCl2+150g/L PEG6000. Which, PEG6000 is to promote the germination of Ground-Cover Chrysanthemum being the main substance; water and temperature are to be an important factor in Ground-Cover Chrysanthemum vitality. In dry storage conditions, pollen of storage lost vitality 2 days at 20℃. The pollen vigor decreased with the decrease of storage temperature.no pollen viability can be maintained for more than 60d at-80℃under dry conditions. The Ground-Cover Chrysanthemum varieties being tested all showed self-incompatibility; when the stigma was Y-shaped, the pollination period is the best; varieties were cross barriers, reciprocal seed rate of different phenomena. Therefore, the selection of suitable cultivars from the female parents was a effective way to increase its seed rate. Bee pollination, repeated pollination, stigma smear with normal saline and GA can effectively overcome the cultivars of Ground-Cover Chrysanthemum cross barriers, of which the bees pollination was best. The seeds of Ground-Cover Chrysanthemum have no dormancy, but germination rate is generally low. There were obvious effection of temperature on seed vigor,4℃seed vigor can be maintained under the conditions of 60 days did not change significantly.Color and form hybrids have the obvious trend of maternal genetic predisposition. In the hybrids colors, a the red genetic ability is better than others; petals and flower diameter were both showed genetic advantage, the average offspring and pro-values were 125.2% and more than 104%; plant height and crown width in the offspring showed a weak trend, the average offspring trait values and pro-ratios were respectively 86.72% and 94.88%, progenies also emergence of a large proportion for the ultra-pro-individual.
