| With the accelerating urbanization,increasing population,deteriorating environment, people had fewer opportunities to contact with the natural environment, but the desire to have it has become increasingly strong. As an important carrier of forest tourism, Forest Park will have a huge market demand and broad development prospects in the world "long for nature & return to nature" rush. Nowadays, it has become an important issues of forest covered to put forest parks into effective and sustainable use, so as to develop forest tourism. The proposal of Sustainable development theory, will lead to fully understand and grasp the spatial structure of forest park development,that was from the perspective of people's own interests. So as to better carry out the operation and management of forest parks, and promote the sustainable development of forest parks.As the "International Garden City", Guangzhou has adequate light,heat resources, and complex terrain, is a city with comparatively more forest parks. In order to use the forest parks reasonably and effectively, develop a rational planning and practical management decision-making to ensure the healthy development of forest tourism, it is necessary to explore and research the dynamic space-time of Guangzhou forest parks.This essay summarizes the definition and intension of forest parks, and those of space. It put together the progress in forest park research, both domestic and international. On basis of sustainable development theory, ecological tourism theory, landscape ecology theory, and space structure, it objects on Guangzhou forest parks and their statistics from 1983 to 2007, as well as social economy statistics during the same period. Based on field research result, with support from geology information software, statistics analysis software, using space and statistics analysis methods, combining dynamic model and relative change rate model of forest resource, for the purpose of modern forest park management, this essay discusses the space change of Guangzhou forest parks to a very deep extent. The results of the research are as follows:(1) The general distribution trend of Guangzhou forest parks is that it decreases from North to South. There are focuses, with dense distribution in the north, northeast, and center areas. Guangzhou is a city that has comparatively more forest parks, but in very uneven distribution. There is big space difference among certain areas. (2) During the period of 1983-2007, there had been apparent dynamic change features in Guangzhou forest parks. Generally speaking, there was increased distribution in regards of time, while change of location in regards of space. During this period of time, the number of forest parks in Guangzhou had increased, with a 31.41% rate. It increased at the highest rate in 2000-2001, while at the lowest rate during 2001-2007. During 1983-2007, changes took place in forest parks in six of Guangzhou's Districts; in order of bigger to smaller changes, they are:Zengcheng City-Luogang District-Baiyun District-Huadu District-Conghua City-Panyu District; in addition, Zengcheng City ranked No.1 from 1983-2000, while Luogang took over as No.1 since 2001, and still was in 2007.(3) In the last 24 years, the main reason for the space change in Guangzhou forest parks was the social and economical activities of human being under government policies and control. According to the analysis of statistics software, Guangzhou citizens' need for forest parks, regional economy development level, and the local investment into forest parks are the leading factors that had caused the space change. In addition, government policies had played positive roles in the same period of time.(4) Analysed developmental opporunity of Guangzhou forest parks:It will provide a good chance for forest parks development that "Green Oriental Olympic Games"will hold in Guangzhou city in 2010; constructing and developing of forest parks has becoming a necessary choice for ameliorating circumstances of the Pearl River Delta.solid social and economical strength provides strong backup; booming tourism brings unlimited opportunities; the government's great attention guarantees healthy development.(5) Forecasted recent developmental trend of Guangzhou forest parks by Logistic curve model, the result is:the number of forest parks will keep increasing slowly till 2010, in the nexr period of time, development of forest parks will focus on the quality enhance and rational distribution.(6) Bring forward solutions to the sustainable development of Guangzhou forest parks:the forest parks must go along the sustainable development track; carry out general planning and system of application-authorization for building forest parks; the building of forest parks must agree to the aims of ecological tourism; for current forest parks, switch from quantity-orientation to quality-orientation; the development of forest parks must keep up with the world's pace; and there must be a highly qualified managing team to guarantee sustainable development. |
