Study On Taxonomy And Fauna Of Sawflies In Shanxi Province

This paper recorded 281 sawfly species (including subspecies and 21 species which had been reported before but author cann't find), belonging to 6 family 12 subfamily and 77 genera, which includes one undescribed genus,72 undescribed species,6 new Chinese record species:Spinarge metallica (Klug,1834),Hemichroa australis (Serville,1823),Heterarthrus nemoratus (Fallen,1808),Pamphilius kyuteparki Shinohara,1991,Rhogogaster naias Benson,1965,Pamphilius varius (Serville,1823) and 147 new Shanxi Province record species. In addition, a new combination is erected:Pseudopepatamena verticina (Wei,1998) comb. nov. and two new synonyms are proposed:Tenthredo eburata Konow,1900=T. rubrocaudata (Takeuchi,1936), syn. nov. and Tenthredo gigas Malaise, 1931=T. nitidiceps Takeuchi,1955, syn. nov.. A key to superfamilies and a key to families of sawflies in Shanxi Province are also provided. Ten new species are described and illustrated in detail:Perineura sinica Wei et Wang, sp. nov., Astethomostus acutitheca Wei et Wang, sp. nov., Macrophya maculoepimera Wei et Zhu, sp. nov., Pachyprotasis mai Wei & Zhong, sp. nov., Macrophya leucotrochanterata Wei et Li, sp. nov., Macrophya liufeii Wei et Niu, sp. nov., Macrophya convexivertexa Wei, sp. nov., Macrophya melanosomata Wei et Niu, sp. nov., Macrophya carinovertexila Wei et Li sp. nov., Siobla pseudoplesia Niu et Wei, sp. nov., and their etymologies, holotypes and paratypes and remarks are given. Meanwhile, the morphological pictures are attached to the description of each new species.According to Eastern Asia fauna compartmentalization measure, fauna analyses of Shanxi Province show that Eastern Asia fauna elements are the principal part, accounting for 82.9 percent of total species. The second main elements are the Palaearctic elements (11.0 percent). The third main elements are the cosmopolitan elements (4.3 percent). The Holarctic elements are the least (1.8 percent). Among the 5 Eastern Asia elements, the endemic elements to China are relatively predominant in Shanxi Province (61.5 percent). Therefore, Eastern Asia fauna elements are the principal part and the majority of Eastern Asia elements are the endemic element to China, which is regarded as the sawfly flora characteristics of Shanxi Province.According to the formula of dual similarity index which Jacard proposed in 1901, the sawfly faunas of Shanxi Province, Shandong Province, Henan Province, and of the districts of Beijing City, Tianjin City and Hebei Province (BTH) are calculated. It shows that of all the similarity indices between two regions from Shanxi Province, Shandong Province, Henan Province and BTH, the similarity index between Shanxi Province and BTH is the highest (0.253). The second is the similarity index between Shanxi Province and Henan Province (0.163), and the similarity index between BTH and Henan Province is the third (0.131). Others are not more than 0.100, and the similarity index between Henan Province and Shandong Province is the lowest (0.041).
