Forest as Earth's ecosystems, an important component, has an irreplaceable role. The distribution of forest resources and the use of conditions has been the hot topic of concern to the countries, therefore, survey of forest resources is particularly important. 3S technology is developing rapidly, especially in GIS spatial analysis technique widely used in forestry, causes forest resources survey of traditional methods and results in management have revolutionary changed, the use of computers, combined with 3S technology on forest resources survey and results management and analysis of investigation of forest resources has also become an important research topic.The thesis mainly aims at various analytical technical priniple and algorithm of GIS spatital analysis carry on a search, on this foundation with ArcGIS Engine for develop platform, application C# the language is secondary development language to develop the forest resource second type investigation data management system to ease the functionary's labour intensity, exaltation inside industry operate of efficiency. The thesis mainly studies contents and main fruit as follows:1.Studied content and achievements management process of forest resource second type inventory.2.Discusses and analyses the characteristics of common model which in spatial analysis.3.Establish the main frame of forest resource second type inventory data management system.4.Realize the function of forest resource second type inventory data management system as follows:(1) The the function of loading layers The vector format layer (*. The shp format), grid format layer (*. jpg format, *. bmp format, *. tif format etc), TIN format layer, *. sxd format layer of mainstream format layer as fast loading, browsing, view, for data quantity larger grid layer, the system still embedded pyramid technology, also can achieve fast loading.(2) The function of inquiring layersIncluding two functions ,one is from map to search for properties,another is from properties to search for map and theirs applications and reasearch,these can quickly and easily view layers'various attributes, and quickly display the area which setting the query in the map.(3) The function of editing layersIncluding the layers of the basic editing operations, outlined the graphics, copy, paste, remove, delete, etc, have an button of start editing and an button of end editing to control the end of the state of editing, sub-compartment can also be outlined, modify, copy, delete and other operations.(4) The function of spitital analysisIncluding the amount of calculation functions, overlay analysis, buffer analysis, slope analysis, aspect analysis, contour analysis, the real landscape display, the vertical stretch functions, including forecasting function with a spline interpolation analysis, Kriging analysis and inverse distance weighted interpolation functions.(5) TIN layer-specific analysisIncluding the functions of vector,raster generated TIN, TIN extraction of slope, aspect, contour features, query TIN attribute.(6) The function of extracting plots'informationThis function is used to extract the slope, aspect and elevation of plot information, overlay the plot layer and their corresponding slope, aspect, elevation layers ,this function is used to extract the required information of plot, with attribute table to display.
