Geographic Information Systems In Forest Resources Management In Huoditang

The classification and arrangement of forest resource data of Huoditang forest farm in Qinling at this thesis first,based on this, a geographic information system was used to establish the Huoditang forest resource information management system.Forest resource is substance base of forestry production.It plays an important part in national economic construction and protection ecological environment.In order to manage forest resource smoothly,to monitor precisely and to predict dynamic change of forest resource,a sustaining development of forest resource management model should be established.Being a new frontier science and an advanced computer management system, geographic information system has a function of synthetic analysis and manages all kinds of spatial data.It can be used to plan and design directly, predict and decide.It will realize effectively information management, when geographic information system is used to work in forestry system.The forest resource information of Huoditang forest farm has been established through support platform of MAPGIS5.32 and Windows98.Professional data and environment data of forest farm were collected in the information management system.It contains 7 spatial databasis(1)Compartment;(2)Subcompartment;(3)River;(4)Road;(5)Topography;(6)Mount-ainback(7)Natural environment condition of district. Each spatial database is composed of a map layer and a corresponding database. We can inquire,update,analyze and put out spatial information of all kinds of forest resource through the information management system.The forest resource information management system contains basis map data and attribute data of Huoditang forest farm's forest resource.According to new data and reality necessary,we can update and amend conveniently it and a synthetic analysis of all kinds of forest resource information and forestry professional map making can be realized.Information management system function contains: (1)Spatial data input and editor:which contains attribute data and map data input and editor. (2)Spatial information inquiry and index:which contains inquire map information from attribute information,inquire attribute information from map information, statistical analysis, DEM inquiry,etc. (3)Spatial information analysis:to change from vector format to grid format,buffering section analysis,spatial data overlap analysis, net analysis,etc. (4)Topography analysis:to use resource information management system and produce DEM and DTM model,three dimension analysis and inquiry. (5)Information output:information management system has function of attribute data and map data output,the system could put out stand map data overlap map of contours,DEM map and three dimension map.The founding forest resource information management system,we can realize management of forest resource of Huoditang forest farm in Qinling and made the resource information at the forest farm with quantity and location.We will realize dynamic monitoring of forest resource of forest farm and provide base data and science basis of national forest resource and sustaining development of forest.
