In 1985, Yue xin-Liu firstly reported an active substance with small molecular weight distilled from puerperal healthy woman placentas, which major component was a polypeptide through physic-chemical assay and bioactivity research and therefore was called placental peptide. It had been proved in pharmacological and clinical experiments that it had extensive immunological and biological activity and was used in the treatment or auxiliary therapy of human diseases. But the number of human placentas and some ethnics problems limited its extensive utilization in clinical medicine and made researchers and producer attach great importance to research and development of animal placentas. Caprine placental peptide(CPP) is a polypeptide with small molecular weight distilled from puerperal healthy caprine placenta and was not used in clinical therapy of animal medicine. The aim in our research was to evaluate the effects of CPP on the resistance to diseases in puppys and chickens.Testâ… :The Effects of the CPP on Immune and Antioxidative Functions in PuppysPuppys (n=24) were divided randomly into 4 groups, one control group (n=6) and three experimental groups (n=6) .The blood samples were collected at day 1 before and after the caprine placenta peptide were given for 10 days, and the number of the white blood cell and the ANAE+ in periperal blood ,the content of the globulin, the activity of lysozyme, the T-Aoc ,the activity of the GSH-Px and SOD, and the content of the MDA in serum were determined .The results showed the number of the white blood cell ,the ANAE+ in blood, the content of the globulin and the activity of lysozyme ,...
