Study On Applied Technique Of Substrate And Nutrient Solution And Production Cost And Economic Efficiency Of Dendrobium

Dendrobium is one of the biggest genera in orchilds family, with approximately 1500 native species in the world and 76 in China . it is beautiful, species rich and long inflorescence. And now days, was cultivated widespread in the world, especially in Southeast Asia like Thailand, Singapore, Malaysian and so on. Dendrobium cut flowers in Hawaii and Thailand is very famous in the world, specially Thailand.Researches were conducted according its biologic, ecologic character. Studying contents as flowing: (1) Selecting Dendrobium soilless culture substrate and nutrition solution (2) Studying new style nutrient solution of Dendrobium (3) Studying on Dendrobium cut flower regulation (4)Establishing technique regulation of Dendrobium cut flower (5) Analysising Dendrobium soilless culture cost and the economic efficiency , the main results as follows:1.Selecting Dendrobium soilless culture substrateThe effect of different substrate on Dendrobium growth and flowering by Principal Component Analysis showed that substrate volcanic rock 1 added coconut fiber 2 added charcoal 1 mixing substrate made Dendrobium grow best; coconut fiber 1 added fresh-water weeds 1 and the massive coconut fiber made Dendrobium grow better; foam plastics 1 add volcanic rock 1 add bark made Dendrobium grow worst.2. Selecting Dendrobium soilless culture nutrient solutionThe effect of different nutrient solution on Dendrobium growth and flowering by Principal Components Analysis indicated that the Dutch Flowers&Horticulture Research Institute formula nutrient solution was the best nutrient for Dendrobium.The effect of different treatment components on Dendrobium growth and flowering by Principal Components Analysis showed that treatment components 4 was considered as the best.
