The effect of plant extracts, cysteamine and dimethyl sulfone on growthperformance, serum biochemical parameters, metabolic rate of nutrients and slaughter performance in the ducks were investigated in this study . In the experiment, Ninety six Tianfu ducks, aged 15 days, were allotted to four groups in a single factorial arrangement. The groups received the same basal diet supplemented with nothing, 2000 mg/kg plant extracts, 500 mg/kg cysteamine and 500 mg/kg dimethyl sulfone respectively during the 15-49 day . The result indicated that:1. The growth performance of duck was improved by supplying plant extracts, cysteamine and dimethyl sulfone respectively. In contrast to the control group, the plant extract group increased the average daily gain(ADG) in the every weeks. The F/G of every week during the 15-42 were decreased 4.81 % (P<0.05),8.02% (P<0.01),8.84% (P<0.01) 和 3.92% respectively .In the all trial stage (15-42 ages), the ADG of plant extracts group was significantly increased compared with the control and other treatments, and ADG was no significant difference among other treatments. Duck feed dimethyl sulfone had the greatest ADFI, and ADFI was no significant difference among the treatments. F/G of ducks feed plant extracts was the lowest and reduced by 4.90% (P<0.01), 7.76% (P<0.01) 和 6.12% (P<0.01) compared with the control group, cysteamine group and dimethyl sulfone group respectively. The F/G of cysteamine group was significant reduced compared with dimethyl sulfone group, and there was no significant difference between control group and dimethyl sulfone group.
