A one-factor experiment was designed to investigate the feeding effects of differentfeed additives (plant extracts and cysteamine) in finishing pigs. 24 same consanguinity(PIC) pigs with similar original average weight as 60.05±1.24kg were allotted randomly to3 treatments with 4 replicates and 2 pigs in each replicate. A corn soy bean meal diet wasused as basal diet, containning 13.44MJ/kg DE and 17%CP.The pigs in treatment 1 werefed the basal diet as control group. The diet of treatment 2 and 3 were supplemented1000mg /kg plant extracts and 1000mg/kg diluted cysteamine respectively. Wholeexperimental phase was 47 days and pigs were slaughted at the end of the experiment. A 6days metaboli -sm experiment was conducted in the middle of the experiment phase. The results showed that:1.Plant extracts combination or cysteamine could significant improve the growthperformance of finishing pigs. Compared with the control, significantly increase ADG by20.00% (644.42 VS 773.30)and 19.46%(644.42 VS 769.84g) respecttively; Adding plantextracts have no infl -uence on ADFI, but extremely significant improve the feedavailability(P<0.01), decrease the F/G by 11.78%(3.65VS3.22): Adding cysteamine couldsignificantly increase ADFI by15.39% (2.34VS2.70kg), but have no influence on feedavailability.2.Adding plant extracts combination could extreme significantly increase the apparentdigestion rate of nutrients(P<0.01).Compared with the control, the amounts of depositionnitrogen, the total rate availability of nitrogen and the biology valence of nitrogen increaseby 131.05% (16.23VS37.50g/d),93.89%(25.86VS50.14%), 85.97%(30.78VS57.24%)respectively. Adding cysteamine could significantly increase the deposition nitrogen, totalrate of availability of nitrogen, the biology valence of nitrogen by 63.65% (16.23 VS 26.56g/d),54.60%(25.86VS39.98%),50.55%(30.78VS46.34%) respectively.3.Adding plant extracts combination or cysteamine could obviously enhance theantioxidation of finishing pigs. Compared with the control, plant extracts enhance T-AOC by 35.18% (P=0.071), decrease the contents of MDA by 35.07% (P=0.052).Cysteaminecould significantly enhance the T-AOC by 41.02% (P<0.05).Adding plant extracts orcysteamine obviously enhance the content of LDH.4.Both plant extracts combination and cysteamine could improve the carcasscharacteristics. Compared with the control, adding plant extracts could obviously enhancethe area of eye muscle and lean percentage by 9.13%(39.66VS43.28cm~2), 3.86% (60.19VS62.51%); Significantly enhance marbling and meat colour by 70.94% (1.17 VS2.0), 7.3%(2.33VS 2.50); Adding cysteamine could decrease the back fat thickness and sebumcutaneous percentage, reach by 9.52% (2.52VS2.28cm) and 5.04%(P>0.05), the area of eyemuscle increase by 10.19% (39.66VS43.70 cm~2).There were no significantly effects onmarbling and meat colour. In conclusion, both plant extracts combination and cysteamine could improve growthperformance, enchance lean percentage and slaught performance of finishing pigs byenhance the rate availability of protein and promote the deposition nitrogen. The plantextracts combination was better for the total growth performance improvement of finishin-ging pigs.
