Cow endometritis is a kind of inflamation with mucosal or purulent fluid in uterine mucosa. The inflamation suffers spermatozoa and zygotes are locked, which cause the dairy cows infertile in long time and make great economic losses.The study contains three determination experiments(the levels of trace elements Cu, Zn and Fe, the levels of cytokines IL-2, IL-6, IL-8, TNF-α, the levels of SOD, GSH-Px, MDA and NO) on tiuss of each team in endometritis and normal cows by atomic absorption spectroscopy, radio immunoassay and visible spectrophotometry. The objective of this study is to find the relationship between cow endometritis, the damage severity of the endometrium and the content of trace elements, cytokines, antioxidase and oxygen free radical.Result of trace elements test. It showed that the concentration of Cu in the three teams(A, B and C)increased, while the concentration of Zn in two teams(B and C)decreased, the conentration of Fe in team C increased but there were no significant changes in team A and B.Result of cytokines test. We found that the concentrations of IL-2, IL-6 and IL-8 in team A, B and C much higher than that in normal team, which indicates there is significant relaionship between the content of these cytokines and severity of inflammation in endometrium. The level of TNF-αin team A has no difference with the normal team; while these of the team B and C were significantly higher than that of normal team showing the relationship with the severity of inflammation.Result of SOD, GSH-Px, NO, MDA test. The activities of SOD and GSH-Px in inflammation teams declined significantly; While the concentration of NO, MDA increased significantly. One explanation is that the increase of oxygen free radical and enhance of lipid peroxidation might make the antioxygen ability in endometrium decline.In conclusion, the different contents of Cu, Zn, Fe, SOD, GSH-Px, NO and MDA between the infected and health dairy cows might be one reason causing the severe endometritis.The changes of total levels of cytokine IL-2, IL-6, IL-8, TNF-αin endometrium might have the relationship with trace element, antioxidase and oxygen free radical.
