Effect Of Chinese-Herb Recipe Feed-Additive On Reproduction Of Male Rabbits

The Chinese -herb feed additive has lots of merits, such as: nature, multi-function, lest poison whithout side-effect, and none -drug residual and increasing production and immunity ability of bodies. Now, it has great economic and social benefits.Through the selection of 4 traditional reinforcing the kidney-yangrecipes, the effect of different types and does of recipes on rabbit semen quality were studied, and by the testicles slices after using medicine extract, the poison on testicles was also studied. It included 3 parts as follows1.Selecting an effective recipe which can improve rabbit semen quality.4 recipes were added in rabbits'daily feed in 1% level, and kept feeding for 3 weeks. The semen was collected 2 times by fake vagina when the experiment began, then it was assessed. The results showed that the experimental groups without S3 could improve the semen volume per ejaculate with the herb appended, and improve semen volume more obviously than control group(P<0.01), S2 was the best among this 3 groups(P<0.01); the changes of sperm consistency was less in the first week, but in the succedent 2 weeks, the herb took great changes on sperm concentration, the concentration of S1,S2 and S4 groups was changed obviously when it was compared with control group(P<0.01), S2 was the best one; S2 also improved the rate of sperm motility greatly in all; but they had little effect on the rate of abnormal spermatozoa(P>0.05).2.Studying the effect of different forms of herb prescriptions on semen quality of rabbits. In this experiment, the prescription 2 was extract by pure water and 70% ethanol, and the compounds'nature in extract was determined by the paper chromatographic. The rabbits were divided into 4 groups, such as: control group,powder group,water extract group,ethanol extract group, and every group was fed with corresponding herb additives in 1.0% level, and kept feeding for 3 weeks. At last, the rabbit semen of the third week was collected and assessed, the membrane and acrosome of sperms were tested in this research. The results showed that different solvents had great effect on compound in extract, the extract of water mainly contained saccharide,albumen,amino acid,tan,alkaloid and organic acid,and so on; the extract of 70% ethanol mainly contained flavone,terpene,alkaloid,organic acid and part of saccharide,amino acid,and so on.
