| In order to investigate the association between microsatellite markers polymorphisms and body weight in Liangshan semi-wool sheep , 22 microsatellite markers on chromosome 1, 2, 3, 9 were amplified by Fluorescence Labelled Primers Multiplex PCR of the genomic DNAs of 187 members. The amplified fragments ran in PAGE gel by ABI 310 sequencer and the data were analyzed by GeneScan3. 0, Genotyper2. 5, Cervus2.0,SAS6.12.Phenotypic data of five traits, namely birth weight(BW), weaning weight(WW), weaning daily gain(WDG) , 18-month weight (18W), was analyzed based on daughter design to locate the putative QTL affecting the relevant traits.The average number of alleles, average PIC and average heterozygosity of microsatellites were 9 (from 3 to 17), 0.697 (from 0.455 to 0.861) and 0.733 (from 0. 51to 0.876) respectively. And all markers were high or middle polymorphic, which could substantially guarantee the reliability of the result of the research. Phenotypes of four traits were handled statistically by SAS6. 12 in the 187 progenies. The "CORR" consequence revealed the significant correlation between BW, WDG, 18W,WW and WDG, BW and 18W.SASv6.12 performed the correlation analysis between markers and weight traits in .The results indicate there were 6 microsatellite markers, which were significantly correlate to weight traits. Marker BMS1126and BMS835 were significantly correlate to the birth weight. Marker BMC1009, ILSTS0049 and 0arCP0079 were significantly correlate to Weaning weight.Marker BMS1126, BMS1248 and 0arCP0079 were significantly correlate to Weaning daily gain. Then the different genotypes of the same microsatellite marker were compared by way of Duncan. The conclusion was as follows: The genotype AD, DD, DI of BMS835, BI of BMS1126 were significantly correlate to the birth weight. The genotype DE, AD of BMC1009, BD, DD, AC of ILSTS0049, EF, CF of OARCP0079, DG of BMS1126 were significantly correlate to Weaning weight.
